So Nosher, are you going to keep the GTI when the Datsun arrives?

I've had a leaking flange on my coolant system and I had a CV gaitor fail on my MOT. Also had my hand brake sensor go which needed replacing. That's in 3 years of ownership. She's been a good little trooper.

You coolant leak Adam, its not the leaking flange I had is it? It is quite a common fault on the MK5.

i havent bothered looking into it to be honest, it needs a top up every 8 weeks or so, not a huge deal at present. which flange are we talking about?

yeah it's been rough lol. it's on 109,000 miles now so i can expect a few things to need replacing like the wheel hub. engine is solid though

after my downpipe gets fitted, bring on Mr. O for my remap

Not really sure tbh as it was repaired under warranty (ahhhh those were the days). This thread may be of use to you though - http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=100997.0

I give my old cars to younger members of my extended family.  Or I might replace the Ka in the IOM with the GTI.
