so i picked my car up from the full engine rebuild the other day , not allowed to take it over 4.5k for 1000 miles, and not allowed to let it sit and idle, but was told i can drive it normally :D just a bugger i can't use all the revs, 200 miles down already though
only problem i have now is the oil light will not stop flashing, it's flashed ever since i've had the car, all the oil pressure switches have been changed and the pressure is bang on in both the head and the bottom end, so there's nothing actually wrong with it, i think that the person i bought it off has mucked up the wiring when they put a pb engine in it, as it originally had a kjet.
spoke to a a big auto electrical company today and they said they won't touch it cause of the age... now i'm at a loose end as to what to do!

bad earth ? had a similar problem

Try get hold of a local auto sparky, not a massive company. A one man band will almost certainly know more than most the people put together in a national money making branch. If they cant plug into a diagnostics port and actually have to use that 'weird yellow thing' that hangs up in the workshop known to us as a multimeter they run a mile.

true that mate! there's a local garage i'm gonna take it to on my lunch break tomorrow :D
yeah i have a feeling it could be something to do with the earth as i had some problems with my headlights cutting out my dash clocks, and my mates dad had a look at it for me and fixed it, but also said when he was doing it the battery was pretty underpowered which would point to a bad earth
shame i know naff all about electrics aha, can wire a sound system but that's about it aha
