i just got a LED for a Clifford Alarm (G5 Thinks), I want to know what is the output voltage from the toad unit for the LED? the Clifford LED is 3 volts

any help would be greaful

anyone? :undecided:

no idea what it is,
but if you already got the toad fitted i would pull the led out and check it with my multimeter to see what voltage it was running,
most are 12v tho
-
found out from MR TOAD, that the voltage depends on what mode the alarms in (4v-12v) i think thats what he said. so im in middle of soldering a 12v resistor to the + side.

The toad AI606 comes with an armed output that puls to ground when you arm the alarm that u can use for an LED get 1 from Maplins and ask em for a suitable resistor so it doesn't burn out, they do them in just about every colour, and if i were u i'd go for a wide angle LED.
All you do is put 12v feed to one side of the led and conect the other side to the alarm.

all toad and clifford leds are 2 volt you can make a 2 volt led work with the addition of a resistor but i cant'think off hand what value the resistor needs to be

sorted it, got a 12v flashing blue LED from ebay, connected it up to the LED wire from the unit and a constant live feed and presto farkin bright!!
