Title: What would i need
Post by: GTI:Gibbo on 16 July 2011, 15:54
I have decided to smooth my boot myself as i have a family member in the spray/paint trade so once it's done he can repaint it.. I know i will need a boot popper but what else do i need to get? ie.. what is the best filler to use to fill in where the handle would of been?

The handle recess will need to be welded.

I wouldnt use filler as if you had a bump, it would crack anyway. Best option is to sand it all as flat as you can. It can then be plastic primed, and use a high build primer to cover any other dimples.

Not really, as I said it will need welding over.

I wouldn't use filler on the n/p recess , it'll just crack and /or fall out.
