Only if you have self levelling suspension and headlight washers :wink:

dont think you need self levelling suspension as r32's dont have it, unless you mean self levelling headlights? as for washer i will be ok when i fit r32 bumper as it has the washer jet covers so hopefully i can blag that.

Tbh I think it's the projector lenses which are the biggest thing. If your MOT tester kicks up a fuss its not much of a job to whip the HID's out and put standard bulbs back in :wink:

for legal xenon headlights you need;

1) headlight washers
2) auto leveling  (sensors in suspension tell the headlights to auto - angle themselves. )
3) projector headlights for the legal pattern

i have aftermarket HID kit with projector headlights, so 1 of 3 in the checklist. i have successfully passed 3 M.O.T's with them on, and as above if you fail, just fit standard bulbs for the re-test.

I more worried about being pulled and they check the car over, i could get it through MOT with what you have Adam. Its just the Fuzz may pull ya and tell ya its illegal and get you to remove them and have a re-test.

but aslong as they arent rediculoasly over-bright there's no reason to get pulled. thets why you have the projectors, and from this - they look legal untill you look under the bonnet and see the ballasts.

like i said i've had them nly 3 years now - no problems.

as has already been said ideally need headlight washers and levelling suspension but with projectors police really dont seem to mind , tbh i doubt they even no how to look for self levelling headlights .

Also if rumours are to be believed hid kits are going to be totally illegal from January 2012 if the car doesnt come with them as standard .

It appears aftermarket are fine as long as you have self levelling sensors and washers. No idea how much of an arse it is to fit the levelling part.
