Title: sorry guy my mates escort wount rev over 3k

my mates escort 1.8i kreg at stand still or even wen driving in any gear it sort of dies when you get to the 3k mark sounds to me like maybe the cat is blocked and there is a slight rattle from the cat to any ideas.

It does sound like a blocked cat, unscrew the lambda sensor and see if it revs better then (will be a bit noisy  :evil:).
Only answering this post as Ford sold some VWs with a blue oval badge on them :wink:.

this will be the nuts and bolts ford put in the sump from the factory.........
