I never really trust rendered cars as the mk6 rumours were very wrong.... Id be surprised if VW would remake the car so soon when the rest of the range has only recently caught up with the current style.

Doubt it will look like this tbh, if it does it is not much different to the Focus / Astra.

at the rear yes but I don't think so at the front.

PASSAT

JETTA
(http://www.egmcartech.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/2011_volkswagen_jetta_images_main.jpg)

POLO
(http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/08-2010-vw-polo-concept_580op.jpg)

2012 GOLF
(http://indianautosblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/mark-7-vw-golf1.jpg)

Way too much curve and wrap on the headlights, lots of nose down point on the nose.

Yeah... See what you mean.

If they lengthen the inside edge of the lights and increase the size of the grill... It would fir in slightly better.

Compared to the original though, they all look naff.

I think they are going to make the fcuker longer and wider for all the fatties. They can sod off if they do so. The present one is bloated enough.

Looks like a people carrier, rather than a cool hot hatch.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if it looks like another facelift to fit in more with the current Passat and Jetta.

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/autoexpressnews/270355/new_golf_uncovered.html

"There will also be a 1.4-litre unit, plus a new flagship 2.0-litre petrol turbo. This will deliver 220bhp in the next GTI, and 300bhp in a forthcoming four-wheel-drive R model. Diesel options will include 1.6 and 2.0-litre TDI engines. All models will get stop-start as standard, and VW also plans a 100mpg plug-in hybrid, a mild hybrid and an all-electric version, called the e_BlueMotion."

300bhp stock for the R.  Now we are talking.

Yeah but mine was even better when I first got it running again... It had proper stop and go, wouldn't idle so would cut out when you stop at lights....  Old Skool Tree Hugger!
