Title: Black vinyl strip around rear window

Hi

I've just purchased a second hand tailgate for my MK2 GTI 16v as mine is almost dead, I've striped it down
so I can remove any rust before spraying but I'm not sure of the best way to remove the black vinyl strip
around the window.

Has anyone got any idea's? :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :shocked:

hair dryer or heat gun and peal it off ?

Yes hair dryer, I have lost many a hair dryer to the garage to be burnt out!
