Very nice.

Gotta say, the Amber indicators do finish off storm grey cars.

Why is the arch wrinkly?

yeah 1.9 tdi :) ill get some more pics sorted soon....just planning the next things to do, not sure what zhaust system would benefit the sound of a diesel....and something to increase the bhp from 90

Nothing will ever help the sound of a Mk3 DERV.

A straight through exhaust will be louder and more farty but smoky as hell.

yeah i had that issue on my old corsa derv....probably will end up with a DTM back box....then concentrate on the engine for the extra power :)
Title: Re: My new baby :)
Post by: Jack3559 on 12 July 2011, 13:34
Might be worth mounting the DTM box upside down, that way at least the smoke goes down!

haha i love the upmounts....worth it for a bit of smoke....you aint got a derv have you ?

Yeah buddy, derv all day long. Had a fair few petrols now, but the dark pump is where it's at.

Title: Re: My new baby :)
Post by: Jack3559 on 12 July 2011, 13:46
Easy peasy.

I'll try and dig out a guide when I'm back from work.

Can get .216 injectors from eBay cheap as chips.

Coupled with a map, it just helps fuel delivery.  It does affect the MPG but only when you put your foot down.

and in simple terms....when my foot goes down with those two mods.....will the car move quicker ?

What with the birth of my daughter on Sunday and continually increasing fuel prices i was actually thinking about maybe buying a GL TDI estate and transferring as many of the parts from current 5dr valver as possible.
What sort of gains can be had from 1.9TDI lump for reasonable costs because obviously it'd be a downgrade in power stakes?

Almost forgot to mention....the motor looks good mate, almost identical to mine apart from the debadged grille and amber indicators.

Congratulations on the new arrival!

Internals on the TDi are strong. Easily push 200bhp without any problems.

With a TDi; injectors, turbo from a PD, intercooler and a map you should be able to get at least 150bhp.

Mine's certainly not sluggish, even for an estate and all I've done is uprated SMIC, injectors and chip, it's torquey as hell. I've only spent £180 on the engine.

I'll get it on the rollers at some point to get a figure.
