I bought a Golf on Monday and was told it was a GT TDI 130, checked the sticker in the boot, it said 96KW. After looking through the booklet, it doesn't say GT anywhere but says 'GOLF TDI HIGHL' '96KW' 'ASZ FMH' and its got lots of 3 digit alpha/numeric codes under options.
does anyone here know if my car is a GT TDI 130?

It is
96KW = 130bhp
ASZ is the correct engine code
GT was a UK marketing thing; Europe called them Highline
They go very well in standard and mapped form :smiley:

No worries; enjoy your new motor. Don't forget to get some pics up :smiley:
What colour is it?

It's a silver 5DR, really good condition and totally stock. Won't be like that for long though, I want to vintagise it!
