With any luck your insurance will be unaffordable, and you'll stick to walking.

i was gonna say, the insurance will shaft you so hard that you walk everywhere funnily.  or they wont even touch you because you are a liability to them and the public

lets face it, you are a bit of a twit for drink driving in the first place.......

My IP is only going to give you my work address, so how about I send you my home address instead?

Alternatively you can come to a meet and see how little and wimpy I am. You'd better set off now mate, it willl take you a while, you are walking afterall.

After you take the retest im not sure if you lose all NCB or not, but as ever the premium will depend heavily on your age. Just be thankful you got off with a disqualification, and not a prison term for knocking someone down.

a) watching "Hackers" on channel 5 does not make you a hacker
b) you couldn't get his ip and wouldn't know what to do with it if you could
c) you had to expect a reaction like this from some people, personally.. one of my best friends was killed by a drink driver when we were just 17.. its a VERY spiky subject.

us losers??? we didnt just get banned for drink driving, didnt you no that a pint of stella can put you over the limit???? i think its 2 units and then you are DUI and two pints is between 4-6 units depending on what you have drunk so the police where right for banning you.

and as for your insurance, your gonna have to drop the engine size right down before an insurance company will insure you, its sh!t yes, but thats what you get for drink driving.

Why am I a looser? I'm not the one with the bus pass mate. Nor am I the one who has to rely on friends to drive me somewhere to facilitate my threats.

I'm also not stupid enough to start threatening someone when I have no idea who they are.

Nice to hear that you won't be touching a drop when you get back on the roads.

I think toph has summed this one up nicely.

Dont drink and drive!

guys grow up quit the bickering! he made it clear in his first post he f**ked up and regrets it. theres no need to put the boot in further!

and  seriously... it'd be more worthwhile selling the car since depreciation will
knock a stack off the value.. if u really want. put the money aside for a year
and you will probably buy one back in better nick, lower mileage/more options
for the same money...

p.s... an IP address wont get you sh!t unless you file a lawsuit against his ISP and they're forced to give up details. some ISPs still wont give it up... dont believe everything you see on TV or read on some internet forum.

p.p.s and my mates are still harder than yours..

any one caught drink driving should be banned for life!!!

Ok next time think about what your doing before you drive, but I guess you have learnt this now! Luckyly you were caught rather than killing someone or doing it again.
(S11EPS, if Garys not around I'll come and hide behind you lol)

If it is just a standard GTI I would sell it, keep the money put away for a year and then buy another one when you get yoru licence back.

i normally only have 1 pint and that last about 1/2 hour of getting in the pub and then its coke for me until the bell gongs......so normally i leave on a sugar ruch and rag it anyway...

I think you'd be do better to sell it too. Insurance will be sky high.........Better off getting something smaller and rebuilding your insurance.

Some of those Polo's are very quick and cheap to insure.

Glad you learnt your lesson and won't be doing it again. My brother has been done for the third time, unfortunately its taken him 3 bans to learn his lesson but I'm pretty sure he won't do it again now.........its not only cost him his license but also his marriage  But thankfully he's been taken off the road before he could kill someone.

Its a very sensitive subject that many people have very stong feelings about, especially if you have lost a friend or a member of your family as a result........

you admitted you made a mistake, fair play to you for saying it mate, i dont agree with it and also know of ppl who have been banned after having 2 pints, unaware they were over the limit.... however your gunna find it hard getting insured with anyone with a drink driving conviction under your belt, try the ones in back of maxp etc, cos theres always insurance for convicted drivers, however i very much doubt your gunna get a decent quote for obvious reasons.....

Quite a few of my mates have done the daft deed and been had.
On the insurance front it might not all be doom and gloom I have a mate who was caught for drink driving about 5 years ago (I think it's on your record for 10 years so his conviction code is still valid).
He also has 9points for various speeding offences, he is 27 and currently drives a corrado VR6.
I don't think he is paying totally silly money, I think it might be in the order of £1K but all things considered just shows it can still be done.

Another reason why cars and alcohol shouldn't be mixed. The shiny paintwork can become far too irresistable

and you find yourself performing lude acts with them in the service zone at Bruntingthorpe  :embarassed:

You can insure anything if you've got plenty of the green and folding (old skool reference) no matter what your history is. I know of a wagon driver who has a two year ban for drink driving, is currently shunting on the docks  and will be able to get a job driving HGV's  :shocked:after he is retested both driving wise and medically :undecided:

There are also wagon drivers with two driving licences noe clean and one dirty, as for the foreign registered trucks........no speeding tickets there then.......
