Title: Mk2 16v 1.8L Twin webers!

Hello all, recently got myself a vw golf mk1 with a mk2 1.8 16v lump dumped in there! what sort of power gain can i get? atm its on twin weber carbs! but i heard these are a nightmare to maintain! i was possibly thinking R1 carbs? can i bolt them straight on? ans like mentioned, what sort of powergains can i get from this lump? stock i think they came in a 126bhp thanks lads!

stock was 139hp, r1 carbs will work have a read of this
