i know its sick, i live in the boy racer town of mansfield aswell, im not a boy racer but every once in a blue moon il like the odd sprint of the lights, im even weary of cars at the lights such as a clapped out ford fiesta ha ha, its really getting me down, im not great under the bonnet but i sort of know what im looking for, checked hoses to the best of what i could see, checked and cleaned m.a.f, cleaned forge splitter valve, i just need someone who knows there stuff to check for me

It wont be that quick without a remap - heavy car TBH
Get rid of the splitter valve for a start - get a forge 007p

Fiat brava sx :undecided:
shouldn't be a problem for a standard 1.8t I would have thought, the bhp/weight would suggest the golf has the advantage, same with the torque/weight. I wouldn't have thought a standard 1.8t to murder it but then I certainly wouldn't have thought it be beaten by it either...
It might be a good idea to do a smoke test to check for any boost leaks, then as above, a forge 007 and a remap would be nice.
Believe it or not I still get young drivers in the likes of a 206 gti 180 trying to race me lol

check upper and lower manifold breather pipes, mine ran like a slug untill i sorted them
-
Coil pack issue maybe.
-
ok thanks for the ideas, il check them out, wayne, i did have a problem a while back few months, where it kept going onto 3 cylinders so 1st i changed the spark plugs, but done few little test and then thought it was a coilpack what i narrowed it down to, so just bought a second hand on just to see if it may fix the problem but still did it, i have a feeling it maybe the wiring that leads to the the coilpack, where on earth could i take that to be checked out without getting raped from a garage? lol
