no the wrap is some ultra realistic carbon looking stuff. very thick vinyl. had to realy heat gun it so curve it.
them pics are realy crap.
it has that thing that makes your eyes go funny when you look at carbon and move around.

yeah i no what you mean. but the red pinstripes looked realy odd with it.
my plan is to put a coloured pinstripe in the trim again like i had it before.
thinking about doing a diferant colour though this time.
any ideas what colour would look good?

Yep or orange
-
Looks nice mate vento fronts always a winner ive got one in my garage
-
Looks good that does, and i prefer it without the stripes, or how about yellow stripes with yellow headlight bulbs (obsessed with yellow lights at the moment).
-
ok have now just bought on ebay lime green pinstripe to go round the trim and i no its cheating and will get stick for it but i also bought some real carbon wheel centre cap middle bits with bbs on them.
-
I think you need to take some better quality photos of the car as the pics arent the greatest and then people will see it dont need lime green pinstripes to break it up.The cars looking nice now the wheel centres will look nice and if it was mine I would go with amber orange front indicators smoked lenses or lose the lense and replace them with the air intake things forgot what there called lol but hey thats my view if your happy you do what you want
-
It does need some colour to break up the black.
If it looks crap then I can just peel it off.
-
I think amber (yellow) lenses look great on black cars.
-
thank the lord that red has gone
u dont need f**k all to break up the black... trust me on this, i know
-
I'm not a fan of orange or yellow indicators lights on cars. I always get rid of amber indicators on my cars.
-
yea boi!
yellow fogs! :D
-
I think G60 limited blue would look ace as a trim highlight.
-
Ok how about yellow figs/indicators and yellow trim stripe?
Where do I get yellow figs from?
-
Sainsbury's usually sell figs, but if they're yellow they're probably not ripe.
Proper VW yellow fogs are pretty rare, as they're French spec.
It'd be easier to lamin-x a set of standard fogs.
-
Lol no idea why that says figs lol. Blooooody button on blackberry to small for my hands lol.
So some headlight tinting film should do then in yellow?
Anybody got any pics of a black mk3 with yellow fogs?
Will yellow trim stripe aswell be to much?
What you guys recon?
Very open to all ideas on this now.
Ideas ideas ideas lol
-
Well mine are yellow :) is leave yellow stripes :)
-
Just been looking at pics of black golf with yellow lights and I like it. Is it legal for me to put yellow film stuff on my headlights as well as fogs?
Also found some yellow wing indicators.
Do they do hella colour rear lights in yellow? May do all the lights and forget the stripes.
But is yellow headlight film legal and will my headlights still look as yellow as the fogs as my headlights are joeyed black?
-
Personally I love black mk3s with black fogs/blanks and orange indicators  Laimn-x or joey modded lights are a must though!
-
What diferant hella colour magic rear lights are there for mk3 golf?
-
Red, Blue, Green and Yellow as far as i knew..

Dam was hoping they did yellow so I could match all the lights yellow.
Ok so what do you think blue colour magics with lamin-x blue front lights and blue wing indicators would look like on black car with vento front?
What do you think will it work?
-

Looking good stainsey! Not sure about a stripe to break up the black but thats just my preference.
Agree with yellow lighting though
-
Light window tint all round, joey mod headlights, tint film on them and the indicators, side repeaters and rear lights then do the fogs yellow
You should start a dub rides thread (http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?board=45.0)
-

i will have a play with photoshop for you if i get chance

Yeah ithink I will do a dub project thread starting from when I bout it a year ago and go through all the diferant themes iv done and got bord of over the year lol.
As for the yellow lights I'm not sure tbh my headlights are already joeyed and I'm gona do my custom stainless steel bullet wing mirrors and see how they look. Want some new rear light but not sure what yet.
Was thinking of losing the gti arches and door mouldings. Get some gl ones and carboning them and doing the same to that strip on boot that had lock buttom in it.
Am liking the black carbon and stainless steel theme at the mo.
-
As I keep saying leave it as it is just orange indicators inner lenses tinited, side repeaters tinted and either all red rears or hella all blacks if you can find a set job done.
-
ok what do you think?
pic quality is terribloe but you get the idea.

-
