Im looking at getting an aftermarket steering wheel for my mk3
Not had one on any car before though so was looking for opinions of people who have them fitted on what size to go for?
my OEM wheel is 360mm diameter, but im wondering if a smaller wheel would feel nicer to drive with, my mk3 in non power steering so i wouldnt want to go too small.
also obviously a smaller wheel may block the view of the clocks?
edit: also suede or leather?

old post but bump as I'm wondering the same thing
looking at a momo team wheel which is 300mm. How much difference would I feel in the 60mm smaller diameter?
-
I am running a 280 momo team and it is great - feels like it reacts much quicker than the old wheel
Plus you can feel alot more when you are taking corners at speed and I have alot more confidence in the bends now

Why hasn't your mk3 got power steering?
-
my old 1.4 didnt have power steering... thats how it was
now driving a TDI which does have it, although tbh i prefer it without power steering as you get much more feel
i tried a OMP 330mm wheel and even the 30mm less diameter felt weird to me, it also blocked view of the clocks a bit. so im now looking for a nice 350mm wheel

Can't you adjust the hight? I always lower mine and Block the view.
Man up!

no i cant adjust the height... i like to see what speed im going and various other usefull information... personal preference i guess
