Just started up the new project after a few days and the engine sounds quite ticky, not overly bothered as I got it as a project but wondered why that might be.  Its a 95 8v

most likely the tappets (hydraulic lifters)

If that is the case do I simply replace them, sorry for my ignorance but I've only ever worked on air cooled engines and jet skis =)
