Title: Buffer heads?
Post by: leigh_harty on 08 July 2011, 18:58
When i was buffering up my car on the weekend, the compound head de-threaded itself near enough at the start of the day.... so i carried on using the polishing head with G2 compound.

This seemed to give me better results than the last time i buffered my car with a compound head? They just a marketing decoy & a waste of money or am i missing something? also the polishing head was much neater

I know its not VAG but still german

I find the compounding heads have there place when doing a major correction but if you are just wanting to freshen up the tried paint work, polishing and finishing heads can give cracking results using the correct polishes and time.

g3 is probably the most abriasive compound on the market. Get a decent DA and some menzerna polishes/pads
