Hi fellas, I need to sell the car and wondered where you would recommend I advertise a low mileage MK6 so as to get the best response?
Cheers

Pistonheads or Autotrader I would suggest.

Price it well I.e around the Parkers / glass guide and it will sell itself really. Well spec'd ones get
Snapped up very quickly, I lost out on a few that had only been on for days!!

I would not price it anywhere near Parkers guide. This is a hugely sought after car, there is still a premium for it.
If you go by Parkers as a guide, then fine, but remember prices have risen, vat has risen, how spec'd your car is, and the fact that its sought after should really indicate that Parkers is indeed sh!te.

I agree with the above completely. Do some research, look on Autotrader at the same spec cars as yours and similar location and price it accordingly.
Too many variables to take into account simply looking at Parkers Guide.

Also look at what the dealers are selling at.
This way you know what someone would have to pay to get the car off a forecourt and price yours less than that but not to the point of it being the giveaway fo the century.

Excellent advice fellas, thanks
very much, appreciate it.

I studied autotrader for 3 months before finally buying mine! The ones that had silly prices above the Parkers price simply didn't sell and you would see the price being adjusted each week. In fact there was a red 60 plate uk spec import that was on this forums classified, started at 23,500 or something and finally sold for 21,000!
I paid £200 above the Parkers/glasses (cant remember which is which!). I am not saying stick to I religiously, I am saying use it and your common sense.
I sold my scirocco for 300 above the Parkers! Again, I watched other scirocco's priced much higher not selling with a similar spec!
At the end of the day selling private is stressful but you do get a lot mlore money, you need to equip yourself with knowing as much as possible about the product you are selling.

Pistonheads i find is good for selling but you do often have to deal with time wasters but it has a bigger viewing than most others for these type of cars.
