Title: Gti Anniversary Help with Tyre Pressures & Alarm
Post by: patc on 07 July 2011, 12:41
Hi,

Just a couple of questions from a new owner.

Tyre pressures - I have the BBS alloys on the Anniversary Edition with 215/40 16 tyres.  Petrol cap says pressures 36/33.  Is this true?  Just seems a bit high.

Alarm - I have a red light on a square with Clifford on under the radio and I can see an alarm under the bonnet.  I have no alarm fob.  Was this standard on the model?  I assume it is disconnected as there are no lights/beeps.  Just wondered if I could get a replacement fob?

Cheers in advance.

Tyre pressures are correct, however 32 all round will be fine.

I find that the lower the tyre profile the less air pressure you need.
I run mine (205/40 x 17) on 30 front 28 rear.

Clifford not standard!
They are generally considered to be the best aftermarket alarms though.
Have to find a local Clifford dealer mate.

Red Clifford light and square base means its a G4

if the light flashes slow, its not turned on, u might just need new fobs and have them coded in

best alarms

Thanks.

Light on the Clifford alarm is not on at all.  I'll find a local Clifford dealer to see if they can shed any light.
