Title: A silly numpty.........
Post by: ciaran.j on 07 July 2011, 08:45

powerwashed my engine ***mot wash** to my digust. Now this had the effect of the engine not igniting. Now I got the RAC out and after some deduction we found out it was both the fuel relay and ignition coil were f**ked.......

Now with that I had these units in the back of the car......**i have a spare units**

Now the car runs great but once in a while the car wont ignite but does after a while and then once on idle it just cuts out ***not whilst the car is running, as in travelling on the road***

I know it could be many problems but any advice wold be gladly accepted :)

check round the crank sensor wiring, escpecially up near the sensor

if you have hit this cabling with a powerwash and its slightly brittle,

this would cause engine probs including lack of spark, im sure a power wash is what finally sent my one off to the engine block in the sky
