Title: DOH!
Post by: monkeyalan on 10 April 2005, 15:48
been waiting for a decent day so i could de-badge the rear of my car, got the filler, paint ect, pulled/peeled of the Golf GTI badge......eh ?....theres no holes! I've been driving round with badges on my car for no bl**dy reason!

also, rubbed the chrome effect off the side badges(3dr), they look ok but i'd prefer blanks. Can you get them or did lower range models have a solid bump strip?

cheers

LOL they are only stuck on with glue matey

Not sure if lower specced models do come with solid strips, best having a look at the next one you see.

i know, no offence taken mate.

Normally the first thing i do whatever car i buy is remove any badges or stickers, just got it into my head from somewhere that they were clipped on and glued, nevermind , they're gone now

you could put the side strips from a cl on, but you have to remove plastic arches as well, same as highline vr6
