Yes if it is a 1.8 but if it is non hyd then it is a backward step tbh.

Yeah DX is K-jet and PB is digi, think the injector ports are different.

Jst compared it with a mk2 pb head its exactley the same apart from the holes to mount the injector brackets which the dx head doesnt have.

That is a non hydraulic head as it has 5 cam caps.

solid lifter heads generally have a higher rev limit but a standard ECU will still limit the revs to (6200?) anyway

From what I've read tuners prefer solid lifters, but they're more maintenance, in terms of valve lash, and in my experience are more noisy (probably cause the lash hasn't been set properly!)

generaly your better off going for hydralic unless your upping the RPM

most hydralic tappets won't present any issues till past 7krpm al lot will take bursts of 8krpm

on an 8valve in stadard form there is no advantage to solid tappets,  the ports  arn't that keen to flow at high RPM so theres no power to be had revving there, and the valves tend to bounce anyway.

so to go pull high rpm you need light valves + lifters ( the std vs solid lifters arn't light ) and some stiffer valve springs.   top tat ot with a good porting job so the new found rpm's do something.

just as you think youve finished it's time to pull the bottom end apart and fit ARP bolts to the big end caps as std rod bolts don't do 8000rpm
