Hi all
Can anyone advise of the rear caliper bolt part number on a VR6? The 8mm hex bolts that seize and are the biggest pig ever please
Oh, and apart from dealer does anyone know where they can be bought?
Thanks
David

Not sure :undecided:

Yeah I think it's the M8 hex caphead carrier bolts he needs, they're always fooked aint they.
-
Yeah its the ones that go through the main claiper housing through the back, they have a recessed 8mm allen key head to undo them?
-
Its no.3 then, they are m10 bolts.

Oh dear, cheers VW, ha ha. Cant see them ordering some tomorrow for Saturday!

I'm pretty sure you can get very similar bolts from halfords.
-
Fingers crossed. I will also give VW a call in the morning to see if they can get any.
-
That's what I meant to say, m10 with 8mm hex head.
-
VW can get them in for the morning which is good, thanks for your help chaps. Just need to try and remove the poxy old ones!! Any suggestions?

Irwin extractors.

probably the above.
Lots of heat didnt help my seized bolts. We rounded the inner hex off then welded a nut onto the original head so we could get a spanner on it :lipsrsealed:
