my car is booked in for a new exhaust system on wednesday and im wondering what style tailpipe to have, im thinking a standard style with a larger bore as the car is OEM looking, it currently has a magnex system on there but im not happy with it, the engine is a 2.0 16vg60, any ideas? pics would be great cheers

i'd say single pipe, pretty much as it is now.. just subtle

The system I had on my last mk1 was perfect, Supesprint, 2.5inch bore throughout, tailpipe was rolled, looked and sounded spot on. Problem is this sounds similar to what you have. I'd say 2.5 bore is spot on for yours due to your motor so wouldn't recommend going smaller. I think supersprint do black back boxes with polished tailpipe which will make it more discrete. What don't you like about what you have?

Stick with a single round, single oval also looks ok.

Hmmm. Not sure on anything other than round or round with rolled lip on a mk1. The only other choice I like is having the pipe face straight out rather than to the side but OEM is the latter.
