mornin all again looking to change my gearbox oil wondered how much i'd need and whats the best stuff to use (direct from vw?),soz if a lame question ,done a few things to the car myself lately and fancied ticking something else off the list lol,cheers brett

if its the 8v rod change box ..2 quarts of redline mtl  (yes its quarts its u.s stuff)

if its the 16v cable change redline mt90 , 2 quarts

its harder to find so prob mail order , but the redline is really good and cures a few notchy probs etc

EPX 80/90 will be fine

I did look into running the Redline gear oil in mine but after much research i was reading lots of mixed reviews and as it was quite expensive as well i opted to stick with genuine VW gear oil which worked out to be less than half the cost and has really smoothed out the changes.....now to loose the sloppiness.
