Now then, just bought some leather off ebay and when i went to get it it was bloody mulberry when the guy said it was black.Anyway i bought it anyway as it was pretty cheap and it isnt in bad nick.
Sooo,im after dyeing the leather. The rear bench and 4 door cards mainly. Now im pretty competent at mechanicals but when it comes to fabric and stuff like that,im a bit wankypants.
However im willing to give it a go.
Any advice on whether i should have a go or just pay some place like furniture clinic to do it?
Is it difficult?Time consuming? Can it look blotchy?
Any help would be just plain awesome!

Seen a thread on here a while back but cant find it again now. Someone reconditioned and dyed their leather from cream to black I think using a kit. Seen the brand in denolm mill in the fabric section if I remember correctly. Not too expensive and it looked really really good. See if you can find it in the search as I cant be arsed trawling through it all!

When you try the Furniture Clinic stuff, give the leather a really good rub down to get back to the base leather. Use those brillo pad type things to scrub the leather, gives you a better key for the new colour. Get a good size kit so you can put extra layers of colour on, more the better for a uniform finish. Its important to put the sealer layer on to protect the colour over time, stops it being rubbed off basically. Good luck with it mate.

Thanks for that Matt.
Im going to try and adapt the sprayer to run off my compressor as apparently the air canisters they supply you with dont last very long.

you can get mini spray guns off ebay for just over £10 , thats what i used
