Post by: allansim38 on 05 July 2011, 18:36
turn the key and it wants to start, but doesnt manage it,fuel getting through to engine,to the part below second spark plug lead,(cant remember what its called, held in place by cir-clip type thing that pushes in and closes it down, petrol pours up out of it if not correctly fitted-best decription i can think of,lol) supposed to carry fuel to injectors, but doesnt, fuel getting to it,but wont go further, any ideas/suggestions why,and the proper name of it? cheers

Think what you are referring to is the Fuel Pressure Regulator (FPR)
The fuel pipes where the cambelt cover is supply and return the fuel so if you have fuel pissing out of the FPR when its not connected then it should be supplying the injectors.

Have you taken the plugs out to give them a sniff?
Whilst they are out you can test for a spark if you haven't done so already... just be careful of all that fuel thats come out
