mk2 gti golf 8 valve gear linkage adjustment

can somebody please advise of how to adjust gear linkage as it is really difficult to select 1st gear

any help or advice would be appreciated

get on ebay and buy the ajustment tool , well worth having

chances are the linkage needs a rebuild too
