I've been thinking lately of ways to save money, as in particular I want to take the lady somewhere nice and get a Mk5. Now I've just had a little look and I've been spending £400 a month on petrol, eeeek!
What's it costing you guys?
-
About 300 to 350. Looking to take a loan to get a derv due to the commute to and from work
-
3 months ago, less than £50 a month :smug:
-
Not much as we drink the black stuff
-
£260-300 on diesel
-
It's mostly pleasure miles I reckon, as work isn't much at all really.
Maybe my Mk5 should be a deisel. It's a shame that the only Mk5 I can stand the look of is the GTi
-
£40 to £60 a month is about all I spend.
I tend to cycle most of my miles
-
And I've sold the Corvette and hardly used the bike, so it's only the Golf to blame
-
Varies. Will be about £200 this week.

+1 but can be anything from £70 to over £200 depending on how far I go. It's going to be over £200 this month...........

Could do what _Adam_ in the MK5 section has done and fit a GTI front end to his GT TDI; he's left off the GTI badge mind

According to my bank's super money tracking system I only spent £28 on fuel last month
Only because I brimmed the 70L tank on the last day of May and drove like a granny everywhere, must have put that £28 in then that lasted me till Saturday when I was just above the red
My average is only £53
-
I spend about €70 a week in the 1.4 mk5. The €70 will usually last a work week and two trips to the city with a little left over. If I be boring and just commute to work and back the €70 lasts maybe 7ish work days.
-
Around £200 a month for commuting and around town etc. If I go up to Bristol to see the family its obviously another full tank there and back and driving around that w.end. Only do it about once every 6-8 weeks though.
-
I do about £70 - £80 per month
-
around £40 a month. I only work about a mile and a half from work and don't tend to go out much as petrol is too bastard expensive
-
About £180 a month :)
£250 if its a buisy month.
-
1300 miles a month at £145.

-
About £100 on diesel per month for the wife to 'potter about' with the darling little childrens.
-
about £20 every 60 miles
-
Between £150 and £200 in a busy month.
-
300 a month commuting, about 100 ontop for driving at weekends
-
around 150 a month and work is about a mile away :undecided:

well the price has recently dropped down to 1.31 so on avg now about £100 a month in the mkII
which is awesome compared to the £75 a wk in V power i used to spend in the .:R
-
I use around £150 ish a month in the golf, which includes a 70 plus miles per day commute to work.
We use the disco to do a 14 mile commute and of a weekend etc and that does in around £200-£220 a month.
