Currently have standard gti cloth trim and altho in perfect condition and very comfy i want rid !!! I trawled ebay for a black concept recaro interior but no joy or they are too far away , trashed or 5 door . There are a few black gti leathers on but seats are the same type as my standard gti . So plan B !!! ...I have now decided that leather is too difficult to source but have noticed there is an abundance of RS Turbo Recaros and rears to match so how can i get these seats into my mk3 gti is it alot of work ? or simply impossible and more trouble than its worth ????? ANY INFO MUCH APPRECIATED

you need to weld the subframes and prob modify them? :undecided:

Cant say for the RST recaros tbh, but the mk4s will fit. If your handy, or know someone with a welder, then almost any can be adapted. You just need to swap the subframe from your old ones with the new seats. Obviously the rear bench is where you may fall over as they may be different sizes. As said the Mk4s fit, just the mounting brackets for the bench need slight modding to suit. Sure there is someone on here running Rover Leather, and another running Alfa leather but again not sure about rear bench. Hope this helps.

Yes cheers will look into this a bit more then ? now knowing others have done it then think i will have a go managed to mod a few seats in the past (cossie leathers into st24 & gte recaros into a mini and also a vitara ) so all being well should be able to get some sort of recaro into a mk3 golf
