Title: Re: guess the engine
Post by: danny_p on 04 July 2011, 01:00
started because i was bored and it's something a bit diffrent and unusual - i like diffrent and unusual engines and curious to see how long it'd take for someone to recognise one.

is it mine -  hell no. if i had the cash to buy one of them id have spent it rebuilding the drake engine.

I worked on the fuel pump relatives that were used on this. Big old inline pumps, noisey bastids, and they were the things making most of the noise not that actual engine themselves. :nerd:

The finished article is actually pretty cool though, it's had a lot of work done on the shell and the interior is cool as hell.

VW and Trabant parts bin raided there, well executed though.  Sounds awful!

Funny how UK style plates are cool over there, wherever that is.

Like it overall but not on those wheels.

Agreed, 17s are way too big for an old skool inspired Mk2.

However, Merc Segins look the nuts on newer metal imho.

Anything Porsche stops at the cooling arrangement.

Might be a bit obscure, more of a clue it's a bit of Uncle Sam meets Germanic Engineering.
