Title: whats the difference?

right, bin looking at a lot of 1.8 turbos lately as i plan on getting one, wanted to know what the main differences between the aum, auq and the agu engines??

and also which would be best for me, all i plan on doing to the engine is to run it standard for a while and after making sure its running well and servising it i might get it remaped, no major plans like turbo changes or big bhp targets (due to funds and insurance)

If insurance is a problem then why not consider the N/A?! I know the turbo is the one to have but Ive got the non turbo cos the girlfriend struggled to get insured on a turbo.

Maybe I'll get shot down for even suggesting it but mine isnt too bad for a luke warm hatch  :laugh: I like the way the power kicks in at 4600rpm like an old valver.

4600 rpm?? never really see it as its more of a blur from 3000  :grin:

also my gf wouldnt get insured i=on it so she now has the 1.8 n/8 not that i would let her drive it if she was insured!!!!   :evil:

Nope, AUQ is 180bhp was only in Annis, later mk4's, Leon Cupra and Octavia vRS.

Standard is 150bhp.
