very nice, ticked off almost all of the 80s hot hatches bar a ford!

Cant believe the amount of people that stare at it as you drive past (Mainly 30 odd year old guys!)
When I was driving the Mini it was mainly 20 odd year old women who looked, Probably thought the car was "Cute"

Not really when there is more profit in the Escort, The Mini had a few issues & I was struggling to sell it
-

-
that is sweeeeet you going to keep it ??
Wish I could, Its going up for sale in the next few days, Going to go down to my old works in Bury Tomorrow & give it a clean ready for the pics
-
Looks very clean mate, feel free to run it over and have a run on the rollers
-
Would like to find out what its running for when I sell it, All I know is that its a Zetec Bottom End Matched to the CVH Head, Its got Blue injectors (Dont know if they are standard?)
Samco hoses, Bailey Dump Valve, It pulls hard & boost kicks in quite low down so I think its on standard Turbo, Im presuming from the engine conversion & all the rest of the money thats been put into it then the previous owner would have had it Chipped at some point

Need to look into what its had done before I set a price, Seen some replicas in quite bad condition sell for around £3000 !!

That is fooking luuuuuuuuurvley!... so what if its not a gen RS, you probably wouldn't want to drive it as much if it was and yours probably rocks a better , more reliable motor!
Has it got the right interior in it for an RS or close?
-

Its actually an XR3 on the log book still, But its running a Fiesta RS Turbo lump but with a Mondeo Zetec Bottom end with CVH head, Samco hoses, Bailey Dump Valve, Fiesta RS Turbo management system, Lowered SPrings all round, Full Stainless Ehaust, K & N Induction kit, Oil Catch Can, UP rated & Adjustable front anti roll bars.
As for what its got RS wise then its all Genuine RS items, RS 7 Spoke Alloys, RS Turbo Recaro series 1 interior, RS turbo steering wheel, Dash, Door Pannels, Carpet, Clocks, Genuine RS opening rear Quater windows, RS Turbo Front Spot lamps, Full Genuine RS Turbo Body kit, Full Genuine RS Turbo sticker kit.
The car was put on a ramp for me when I went to see it & its as white underneath as on the body, Never been welded anywhere including Battery tray, Sills, Chassis legs.
Someone has spent a small fortune in getting the car like it is now

Fook a genuine one then.... would be well happy with what you've got and who would know when you're driving it about.... really like it.
and did you have to spend a small fortune to obtain it?
-
Only way you cna really tell its not a genuine one is that its on a X plate, & if it had a private plate then if you really knew your stuff you could tell because the roof gutters are slightly shorter on this one
-
That is beautiful mate!!  Fantastic condition too, shame your not keeping it.
-
Wish I could keep it
A better pic of it

Im more shocked that nobody guessed it after the very first pic
-
I though the first pic would have been enough to guess it,
Went to my old works in it today & gave it a clean, No one there realised it wasnt a genuine one, Until they saw it was an X plate
-
yeah first pic was way too easy. just shows some poeple on here are pretty much clueless
does look genuine mate, could pass it off as been on a private plate
-
Given it a clean & took some better pics, Just waiting for them to upload
-
very nice mate, good luck with the sale!

Chris find the ECU, if it has a chip plugged into it then its not standard. Also have a look at the injectors, blue I think are standard for the fiesta turbo management, next stage up are beiges.
I know a lot about all this lot as my Escort was running Fiesta turbo management. I'm guessing if yours is on standard injectors I reckon it will be running about 180bhp
-
Cheers for that, Will the Chip be inside the ECU ?
Apparently its meant to be about 185 BHP.
Here's last nights pics

Some of us did, but have only just seen the thread.
Real or not it still looks class. Love it and as soundillusion said, if it was a real one you probably wouldn't want to drive it anyway.

Chip will be plugged into the side of the ECU mate, the EFI uses piggyback chips
