Title: which insurance company??

Its that time of the year again... mk3 std 8v, who can you recommend?
I will cal HIC and Knotts in the morning - i'm currently with Privilege - seems high..

Try greenlight they gave me my cheapest quote a couple of weeks ago :smiley:

my current insurance (up in 3 weeks) is £750, mods declared etc but not covered like for like with elephant
adding 6 points (IN10 :( ) with the above company they qouted me £1050! and mods covered like for like plus can add any non performance mods no matter how expensive and premium wont go up!
that 22, 1 years no claims and 5 years driving

dunno if youre a fem or fella, but i was quoted £680 by halifax ( thru confused.com)
 got up at 2am stressing as had no insurance , googleD more and got £360 :D ( SHEILAS WHEELS)-- didnt bloody get that on they website)
 use google with all sort of silly word input will serve u right sir ;) xx
with 10+ yrs no claims, but lets face it it dont make a diff

im a guy and i was chuffed with my qoute seeing as its an abf.
10 years no claims though! you must be old shela! haha
i wouldnt get someone to front you seeing as it is illegal :/

 no not worth it less u have clever buddy.

prices rise on a day to day basis so keep checking.. silly google words  (how i got mine).. THE PRICE WILL COME DOWN, COMP IS ALWAYS CHEAPER THO

Having been with numerous insurance companies over my 14 years of driving I've often found Privilege to come out with the best value policies with most of the 12 Golfs of various mks I've owned.

To be honest this is an impossible question to answer as everyone's driving circumstances and particulars are different, there are simply too many variables to say to one person who they'd best be insured with without actually getting quotes.

thanks guys, i'm male, 42yrs old, std agg GTi, lots of no claims, protected cover with usual legal stuff, paying monthly and comes out just over £300 for me and wife with Privilege... just sounds a bit high too me.... will know later once i've shopped around.
