Title: fitting uprated cam

if i fitted a newman cam to my 8v digi, can i just swap it for the old cam? or do i need to change other parts too?

sorry if this is a stupid question or if it's been answered before...

I would fit a new cam belt.

new tappets should be fitted too

oil /lube it up good before starting and they need running at 2000rpm for 20 mins to bed it in

Valve stem seals wouldnt be a bad idea if they have not been done yet

the whole engine's being fully rebuilt... so pretty tempted to fit an uprated cam while it's being done

so sounds like if i bought one i could just fit it and it'd be fine :)
