Title: New headunit - pioneer avic-f920bt
Post by: mrDMH on 26 June 2011, 22:25
I'm thinking about getting the above.

Does anyone have experience of the same or similar model? Is it a direct fit or will I need to play with cables?

Thanks
D

I have a pioneer avic f9210bt installed in my car. With regards to fitment im not 100% sure as i got an ICE specialist to install mine, but mines designed specifically for VW/Seat/Skoda range. I am seeing the ICE specialist tomorrow as im having most of the kit i currently have in my car removed (pioneer headunit, 8" sub, 4 channel amp), so i can ask them for you if you havent had a definite answer by tomorrow. Its a great piece of kit however mine is now up for sale due to expectant redundancy. Stock headunit here we come

Ive just put it up for sale see link:

Though it has a slightly smaller screen and is designed to look more OEM than the pioneer avic-f920bt

No problems if your not interested

.........got one in my ED 30.Great unit & designed to fit VW dash. Sat nav works great as does DVD Player. If you have the iphone lead the album covers show up on the screen & it even has an eco graph to show how heavy footed you have been .
Got the ''buttons'' on mine to light up red to match the rest. Fully recomended & i think has more features than the factory VW one.
Mine was already fitted when i got the car so can't help regards fitting but i've had the car since last christmas & had no problems with it.
