I have tried a search but im not that great at it  :embarassed:
Maybe someone could point me in the direction of the correct threads as im sure this has been asked many times before in the past.
A 1991 8V GTI (not the runout model).
What model steels were standard and what alloys were optional?
Im guessing BBS RA 14" were an optional at the time from what i have read of threads i found but were any others?
I found this link when i was searching on here

Thanks for any help.

BBS's RA's would have been the alloys
-
RM's were also an option in 91'.

Thanks.
Does anyone know if the original steels were the ones with the black centres or the ones with the silver cover for a ~August 91 car?
-
I 'think' it was early GTi's that had the black caps, or at least the later poverty spec versions.

Ok thanks again.

16'' RS's should have been standard

Amen!

Thank you X4MGS

iirc and certainly on my 1991 8v it is 14" steelies (item 3 in X4MGS diagrams) or as an option for this later model 15" BBS RA. The 14" BBS RA was for earlier models I believe.
I have both -nice!
Note - different tyre sizes on each give same overall diameter and so speedo not affected.
