Title: Sellotape marks

Thanks to the bloke who sold me my car for putting for sale signs up with sellotape in the windows I have dirty sellotape marks I can't get off. Any advice?

Tar and glue remover. Spray it on and either take off with a small razor blade or rub it off with a soft cloth and then polish

Nail varnish remover on a cotton bud to get the sellotape off followed by a good clean!

nail varnish remover, petrol or WD40 can shift it if you dont fancy making the trip out.

be careful with thoese product obviously.

EDIT: beaten to it.

Also a razor WILL scratch the glass.

Autosmart Tardis, spray either straight onto the marks or onto a old microfibre wipe marks away and then clean the glass with ordinary glass cleaner

I use as above tardis.. just spray on and leave for a few minutes and wipe off.. job done..

As long as the razor is clean and the blade is smooth you shouldn't have to worry about scratching the glass, best to do it while the tar and glue is dripping down the window to ease friction.

thing is why use something that 'may' damage your window if you have something that 'wont' damage it  :undecided:
