Hi guys I'm hopefully going to pick up a 2004/54 plate Golf GTi next week.
It's tornado red, around 80K on the clock and has a great spec Including-Nav, Xenons, leather seats with electric lumbar support and heated, 18" Monza II alloys and full hihline screen along with armrest and 6 CD changer. It's got FVWSH with cam belt, Tensioner, water pump and thermostat all Been replaced. It's also a 6SPD manual 3DR.
Basically is there any issues I should look out for when viewing the car and also what sort of price should I be looking to pay!? Any help appreciated

check front arches for rust
bolster wear on drivers seat
Boot badge corrosion
Wheels are all free from oxidisation
Air con works

Cool thanks, how much should I be looking to pay? Also how can I tell if the PCV or PVC is faulty? Will there be a dramatic loss in boost pressure/performance?

This is perhaps a little OTT but most of it will apply

Thanks but what I was looking for was more common issues associated with the 2L TFSI unit and any other issues with suspension, transmission etc and how to look out for them!?
Also what's the sort of price I should be looking to pay for the above mentioned car, thanks

lumpy running is a sign but also of coil pack failing
most fit a pcv bypass. especially if remapping

Lumpy running such as hesitance whilst accelerating!? Any other sure ways to diagnose this?
