been cleaning the new toy tonight and checking for the dreaded rust, and all was going well passenger side is rust free under the 90 spec kit so all cleaned and plenty of wax oil used before re-fitting (was a few scabs on sill but with a quick grind was back to metal and then painted with hamerite) floor pan is spotless also.
was starting to get dark so decided to call it a night, but wanted to check why my dricers side sill cover was dropping a tad at the front. was gutted when I found this and my heart sank, the effected area is around 8 inchs long and starts from about where the rear of front wing mounts. not had much expereince with sills so not sure on if its repairable or if its a scrap her job
anyway before I post pics, please keep in mind the rest of the shell is rust free, car runs like a dream and never misses a beat, just completed a 220 mile trip to liverpool and back without any probs, and car is a ongoing project. Im willing to have it fixed but not sure if it will come back in over areas having me chaseing it around so can people please advise me on my best option please.

cool might have to get mate round at weekend then and get it sorted, my heart proper droped when I saw it started off as a 50p size hole till I started tapping it lol
-
no around 120 miles away in nottingham
-
imo that should of been an MOT fail :lipsrsealed: my sills are not looking great been advisory on last 2 MOT's and previous owner didnt sort.. its not whether it can be fixed its finding a good welders who can weld it and it not noticeably look like its been welded as most places just plate over the rust.. this is what im finding hard
-
best to get a body shop to repair it and not a monkey MOT tester
-
it was well hiden under the kit tbh, pluss hopefully if I get it welded the kit will once again hide it. mate is awesome with a welder and runs his own bodyshop so should be all good.
