Most dealers will supply number plates if you ask, I paid £14 for mine from the local Skoda dealer.

They won't do pressed plates, normal dealer plates are usually around £30 ish and pressed ones from dubmeister are £40 ish

That's cheaper than what I'd expect land rover where I used to work charged that per plate

Interesting to know cheers guys. Need some new ones but not particularly bothered about pressed ones. Would be nice to have Volkswagen written on them instead of the current 'carmart'
'Legal' ones from dubmeister look nice but I don't think I can be bothered with the hassle.

To be fair mate buying from dubmeister isn't really hassle, just got to send your driving license and v5 off, I did mine recorded to be safe and you get them back with your plates in 2 or 3 days time

Very true mate but I was referring to whether they are actually legal or not. I know they claim to be but I it's the hassle of explaining that to the fuzz when/if being pulled.

apparently dubmeister went through alot of trouble to get these plates the "legal" status they have, they comply with all the requirements, correct font, gb badge, suppliers name and postcode and they're reflective, i've never been pulled with my plates and i dont think many other people on here have either. think shady had his on for a year or so and never got a tug.

That's because you live on the Dover side of the A2 where they don't give a crap.

Yeah, perhaps...
Could also be something to with it being an old mans car which only looks like it's low because it's got a fully laden roof box and boot.

I know they are technically legal mate but it's still a grey area in my eyes. Just don't want them to be the hook for a pulling

Fair point :afro: I did not want any hassle hence why I went with dealer plates.
