You can always tell if a car isn't 'right', if you know what you're looking for.
If its too good to be true it usually is.
Keep your wits about you people

I dont trust service books 100% anyway and i know what to look for,i just feel sorry for the inexperienced/gullable buyer of the car one of these would go to.
Really does extract urine!

Bought the missus's old corsa without a service book, and had a look on ebay for a new clean one. Couldnt believe how many were there all for sale as it really can be abused. That was a couple of years ago, and I read something after Googling it about ebay insisting they were looking heavily into it. Obviously did sod all then, so I doubt they would now. New/Copy ones are fine for people who want to put some sort of history on their car if it has none, but old ones coupled with a used set of clocks can really turn out to be someones nightmare, especially if they have not been checked out properly.

As above, receipts are much better than a stamped book.

I always do, shows that you looked after and cared for the car.

Reciepts mean nothing if you saw my college work.

Had to use reciepts as proof of work I'd done, never really kept reciepts for personal/familly cars tho. Cars too old for them to matter.

Just Photoshopped them all.
