I have a set of half leather Recaro's from a Rover that I'm planning on putting in my Golf, only thing is they don't have the hooks at the base of the seat for the quick release mechanism, which I was told they would more than likely have. Does anyone know how these hooks are attached to the bracket on the seat? I've had a quick look at the seats in my car at the mo, but I can't see a screw through the hook or anything similar, so I can't see how the hook attaches.

its a short arm with a spring on the top half of the seat which 2 cable are attached 1 is longer than the other ,this is the quick release mechanism i believe.
why don't you transfer the material from the rover seats on to the mk2 seats it has been done before i think.
