Title: Loss of Power - even after DV change
Post by: hmeah on 22 June 2011, 00:50
I recently changed my DV (diverter value) on 07 GTI DSG, i had been experiencing loss of power. It seems the problem has not gone away, when i press down on the accelerator, it seems nothing really happens until the rev goes to 3000, its worst when the car is in motion and i press the accelerator, the rev just moves without any movement, any ideas what it could be or how i can diagnose the issue?

You need to get a friend or a garage to check if you have any errors using VCDS. It could be anything, but from your symptoms possibly either a boost leak or seized manifold flap motor.

Car need to be datalogged to find out why the power is missing.  A good start will be blocks 114 to see in ecu reauest load is beeign matched and how hard the turbo is working to try to match the load.

If you get stuck I can help you out.
