just fitted my fk ak street coilovers as they came though the door this afternoon.. dont really know how to rate them. my cheap jamex shock/spring combo seemed to handle better (while they lasted) though the ride is alot more comfortable with the fk`s. when the jamex`s were on the car was pretty solid when you tryed to rock the car.. now its like one of them playground rides with some strange animal mounted on a spring.
i wouldnt say they were great handling coilovers but i think i need to play with the front/rear height bias to get it better.

fitted em at about 3.00 pm saturday , took them off 10.00 am sunday !! they cheap for a reason, worse coilovers i ever bought !
lesson learned :(

if my old stuff was in good condition i would of probably do the same but needed a quick fix and after many of other peoples comments i thought it would be a good buy. :drool:

Put the standard suspension back on and see how they are actually an improvement. Also why not go for a JOM setup, they stiff as f00k

Better to spend more tbh or unless you need to be daft low run a good quality spring and shock kit.

I really wanted the bilstein b10 kit but cash was low and needed something quick as the old stuff was becoming dangerous. Aquaplaning was fun...

I was just about to buy the FK coilies, then say this post.
I have ordered top mounts all round, and VRS rear beam bushes. Hopefully this will sort the various bangs, crashes and noises which happen when driving over a 50p piece!
If this sorts the noises, then all is good, except that it will look high, which is sh*t.
Its always money....money...money....money!

Gotta be honest, I like mine, down bout 60mm and ride still relatively comfy, what more can you ask from 200 quid?

lol, i paid about £170 delivered, cant really complain, just not as good as i expected. car takes off on bumps.

ive run and still am running fk's and cant fault them, for the money i would say a good buy for entry level coilies

I also have the FK coilies, and even though they are soft, they are alot better than standard boat factory suspension.
I know i'd rather have a nice ride than having to get a new spine every time I went round the shops.
Once you lower them a bit more, the ride gets a bit better I have to say.
I'm very happy with mine, and even after being in a mates car with the harder JOM coilies, I wouldnt change them.

i have only gone approx -35mm with them, any lower the missus will stab me..lol.
perhaps going lower is the key then?..

Well I found that every 5mm lowered, you could feel the car cornered better. But as for bumps, still get launched into the air haha

i agree with s-l-i-x...I got some FK's and at first was a bit scared of going to low so was sensible. Holy s*** it was awful! My mate suggested going lower, so i slammed it, huge diffrence cornering wise, but yeah still take off if you hit a bump at speed. I would go lower and just see what its like, if no difference then raise it up a bit and save the slap from the mrs :wink: :grin:

im on spring's n shocks combo! its a harsh ride! im 60mm lows n wana higher it as theres to many humps round ere!!
