trying to get the bolt to move last night, and ended up admitting defeat after hitting my thumb with the hammer.
i was thinking of getting a blow torch on it today, but dont want to melt the rubber around it, any other suggestions?

I think you are talking about the pinch bolt?
Try opening up the clamp with a hammer and chisel, but go careful, it might be better with a strong screwdriver.
Other than that penetrating fluid, and a bit of heat if you can.

sorry yeah, the one that connects the bottom of bearing housing to the wishbone.
will the housing come off the wishbone if the bolt is still in there but loose enough
on the joint if that makes sence?
bathed it in wd40, wil anything else work better?

Plus gas will probably be better.
You won't be able to disconnect it while the bolt is still in.
I would try opening up the clamp slightly, and see if you can move the bolt.
Put the nut back on the end of the bolt and hit it with a hammer.

i spent a fair bit of time hitting it with a hammer. it seems to me like the head of the bolt is seized to the clamp, litter bugg*r! ill have a go at opening up the clamp
