Usually just in front of where the beam is mounted as this is a strengthened area for the beam... This where I put mine on the mk1 anyway.

Rear jacking points?

Anhow this raises a serious note, never jack on your rear beam as you may bend it

Ooo god, never use my sills, especially since they're all straight now!
Good point about the beam... I hope you know I wasn't suggesting that, I was suggesting the beam mount point, just in front of where the beam is mounted.

Thats where I did mine with blocks of wood underneath each jack, on the square part box section.
As the others have said, aslong as the chassis is ok.

You should be ok on the sills, just take it steady.
