My first grip is with the ESP button. Switch it off and the MFD states the TCS(?) is switched off!! At least get it right VW... pick one and stick to it!
Secondly... is there anyway of getting rid of the yellow flashing light using vagcom???
Soo bloody annoying having the light flashing away... why cannot it be just left on as a solid like the R32 used to :undecided:

A piece of insulation tape strategically stuck on the speedo works for me.

im not sure this would work for me... i may miss other warning lights as i like to adjust my seat according to footwear :undecided:

It's quite easy to strip the clocks down and cover the light internally.
Having said that I don't think mine flashes?

Flashing ESP light is correct for the Mk6 GTI.

a flashing light on display to warn you to pay more attention to the road... sounds about right
-
I'm sure that it's different on 2010 MY and that they have two lights or something
I'll check when. Get my ass out of bed.
2p bet anyone?
-
i will take that 2p bet  want to make it interesting and add a furry sticky toffee too ???

My mum's 09 Scirocco used to be permanently lit, her facelift Scirocco and GTI flash :)
My current Leon stays on, my old facelift Leon used to flash :)
It feels like the ones with the permanently lit lights turn it off properly where as the flashing ones don't, as it still kicks in :(
-
You owe me 2p mo-fo
My car has two lights, one for the trction control that flashes when you loose grip and on that stays on (non flashing) when TCS is off.
Pic and video taken - I'll upload them in 5

mine flashes when i lose grip (with traction control off). when i switch it off manually... then it is constantly flashing. Its the same light though im sure.
-
p.s. GTD doesnt have enough power to warrant a flashing light
