Title: Laptop & TV nerds (HDMI related)
Post by: delirical on 15 June 2011, 16:24
I have a Dell laptop (windows 7) with all my films on.. When i try to watch films via the HDMI cable to my LG TV the sound does not transfer, so i end up watching crisp quality films with the sound from my laptop.. not ideal.

How do i set it up correctly??

Thanks

is there another volume control of some sort? ? dont know i am no expert but the only other way is if you have a input for sojd on your tv or if you have a sound system i.e. surround sound you could get a jack to twin rca phono and connect it up via laptop head phone jack?

Stereo headphone mini jack to stereo RCA, plug that into the audio in for the channel you're using, or if you've got an amp/hifi system you could chuck it into that.

Jobs a good'un.

Keep it digital as long as possible, else you'll get a yucky sound, now go wash your ears out!
