I just an app,e Trackpad as a prezzie from the missus. It's nice to have multi-touch gestures for my Mac Pro just like the laptops.
-
Epic aren't they, gonna get my Mum one for Christmas for her 27" Mac.

yup, apple got this one right, unlike the magic mouse which was awkward to use because it was such a funny shape. Apple don't have a great track record when creating mice but the trackpad is a winner.

Can you get a picture of it on here ? Thanks steve

Agree with the Magic Mouse, it is complete w@nk! For man hands it was too small and the novelty of touch scrolling wore off quickly for me. Not used the Trackpad yet, wondering how good it will be for operating a media centre remotely... none of the wireless keyboards (at a decent price) tick the boxes for me, maybe I could use it as a mouse and have an on screen keyboard...

It looks nice next to the keyboard too.

Used one and they are a pleasure to use :)
Don't agree with the comment about the magic mouse but that's my opinion.

Only thing i don't like about the magic mouse & wireless keyboard is the batteries seem to need changing once a month  need to buy some rechargables really

I love using the trackpad on my MacBook Pro, although when doing design I need to use a proper mouse for more accuracy. I am a big fan of the Magic Mouse, I think it works just as well in all honesty.

I like my magic mouse, couldn't get used to the trackpad in the store lol..

This.

You need to get a wacom tablet, they are the nuts. I use one all the time at work and have one at home for freelance stuff. Much more intuitive and probably the best way to use create stuff. A bit expensive but an Intuos 2 (which is good enough) can be bought one ebay for a reasonable price.

Legit Wacom the best by far...especially the big uns...it needs to be big if using it for design and intricacy

Those are a bit expensive for controlling my Boxee (http://www.boxee.tv/)
I've been after an ultraslim keyboard with trackball/trackpad ( the Apple keyboard would be ace with a trackpad attached, but not separately ) to control my Boxee media centre (normal PC with the boxee software installed).

The MBP has a good trackpad, but I should hope so at that price.
For accurate stuff like video editing I still find myself connecting a mouse though, so putting a trackpad on an iMac seems like a retrograde move.
The gestures sh*t on the magic mouse work fine, but if I'm honest it works no better than my treasured Microsoft 5-button mouse which is still the best mouse I've used (especially as a leftie).
Another example of Apple applying some fancy branding to something already in existence and the Apple faithful going 'oh wow man, this is like, so new'.
Can't wait for them to bring out iWater, which will only be accessible through the iTap because it'll be like SO flexible and useful.

For people with Magic Mouse, you need to get MagicPrefs in your life! The amount of things you can do with it is nuts, I only use a few but they make life sooo much easier!

I can thoroughly recommend the logitech di novo. Has built in track pad and media controls

I assume the Mini and not Edge?
-
I've only used the edge and didn't know there was a mini. The edge is really good and looks nice in it's charging stand next to the telly.

I'm sure that you can get an android app where you can control your pc using your phone as a track pad and keyboard. I'm using a similar thing for osx and iPhone called rowmote
-
That's what I use now, but I like the idea of having a proper keyboard
